2024 Art and Media Competition

Entries due April 14 to the Coronado Public Library

Poster and Digital Poster Rubric: 

  1. Compelling slogan, (short).

  2. Illustrate the theme Planet vs Plastics. You can look beyond plastic bags and bottles as well ! — there will be guidance/ suggestions to  earthday.org’s ideas on:  health— human & planetary, stop “Fast Fashion” short-life clothing production/ purchasing, convenience packaging, etc

  3. Visual impact — use of color, good imagery, bold or good lettering

  4. Clear messaging conveyed — this can be through the art, scene, actions (PSAs) paired with the simple slogan 

  5. Creativity - varied mediums used, ideas conveyed


PSA / TikTOK Rubric

I agree that the City of Coronado and its officers, agents, or employees may use my appearance, name, and likeness in connection with my participation in any Emerald Keepers or City of Coronado publication, including news release, social media, newsletter and/ or website without my prior consent. I further agree that I am not entitled to any compensation for such use of my appearance, name, and likeness.

Winning entries may be posted on Emerald Keepers’ website, newsletter, and social media.
