Jan. 12, 2024. - high tide time / height: 9:04 AM /  7.16 ft. Arrive by 8:55am

TO PARTICIPATE:

1) Know your King Tide time and date and arrive early as exact times are estimates. 2) Visit the shoreline on the coast, bay, or Delta, and notice your surroundings to ensure you are safe and are not disturbing any animals. 3) Make sure your phone's location services are turned on for your camera and then take your photo. The best photos show the water level next to landmarks such as cliffs, roads, buildings, bridge supports, sea walls, staircases, and piers. 4) Upload your photo! Our photo upload form includes instructions in both English and Spanish.

To upload photos via a web browser:

Be sure to have location services ON for your camera when you take your photo! This is the default setting, but you can check on an iPhone by going to Settings > Privacy > Location Services > Camera. For Android, go to Settings > Location. If using a camera without location services, carefully make a note of where you took your photos so you can mark that location on a map when you upload them.

Either at your photo location or later, go to the King Tides Photo Upload form and select "Open in browser".

Upload your King Tides photo and complete the form. Repeat for additional photos. Your phone's Location Services will allow us to confirm the location of your photo, but you will also be able to mark the location of your photo on a map.

ALSO EMAIL PHOTOS TO info@emeraldkeepers.org

We will post photos from various locations!
