CLIMATE ACTION MOVING FORWARD
After 15 months of waiting, the City Council voted for to move forward with all 12 proposed actions at the Tuesday June 6 meeting!
Pursue Community Choice Energy.
Pilot the Electric Mini-Shuttle we call the OZ as soon as possible.
Make commercial and residential energy efficiency permits free and easy to obtain.
Design a citywide plan to install public EV charging infrastructure.
Put solar on city buildings.
Expand bike parking.
Provide a free tree program for residents.
Initiate a Green Building recognition program (Emerald Keepers has one ready to go!)
Electrify the city fleet.
All the proposed actions will make significant contributions to Coronado’s GHG emissions reduction!
