Emerald Keepers is partnering with EDCO and the City of Coronado to properly dispose of campaign signs.

Drop off political signs on Saturday, Nov. 7 at the parking lot immediately to the north of City Hall. Enter via Strand Way. Recycling will take place from 8 a.m. to noon (or earlier if dumpsters are filled). Emerald Keepers volunteers will be on hand to separate the corrugated plastic from the metal stands, if you have not already done so.

Campaign signs should not be placed in the blue bin. The metal stands are recyclable, but if they are tossed into the blue bin, they can damage EDCOs recycling equipment. By dropping off the signs, the metal and corrugated plastic can be safely recycled.

Coronado candidates and their supporters are required to remove campaign signs immediately following an election. If you don’t plan on saving your signs for future use, please drop them off Nov. 7 to keep unnecessary waste out of the landfill.
